KnowRealm documentation

From saving your first resource to organizing knowledge, asking questions, and reviewing.

KnowRealm is a local first personal learning workspace. Save recordings, documents, and text, organize them into learning records, then ask questions, practice, and plan around courses. The desktop app does not require an account. AI features require your own service configuration.

First steps

Complete these steps in order:

  1. Install the desktop app and choose a local data folder.
  2. Configure AI services, or skip configuration to save and organize resources first.
  3. Complete your first learning workflow: check the source, confirm a summary, and ask a question.

Understand your resources

Source materials preserve imported files, web pages, or text. Learning records hold a processing session, including the original, transcript, and summary. Learning assets are knowledge points, exercises, and review materials organized from records. Courses bring related content together and are also called knowledge spaces in the interface.

Check AI generated content. Successful generation does not mean you have mastered the knowledge. See FAQ for installation, configuration, or processing failures.
