Quick start

Save, organize, confirm, and ask questions using one passage of text.

Before you begin

Install KnowRealm first. Prepare a familiar learning passage, such as a section of a handout or your own reading notes. To generate summaries and ask questions, save a model configuration in “设置 → AI 服务” (Settings → AI services).

1. Create a course

Create a course in “知识空间” (Knowledge spaces), give it a name, and choose a learning context. Courses can organize career skills or interest topics as well as academic subjects.

For a first course, try “Introduction to cognitive psychology” and keep related records under it.

2. Paste your first passage

  1. Open capture and choose “粘贴文本” (Paste text).
  2. Paste the passage, choose the course you created, and save.
  3. Check the processing state and wait for a summary. Before sending content to an online AI service for the first time, the app requests the relevant consent.

Without a course, content first goes to the Inbox and does not immediately produce a summary. Use “速记” (Quick note) for a short thought.

3. Review and confirm the summary

Open the learning record and compare the summary with the original. Edit or adjust inaccurate content before confirming.

Confirmation moves the record to a completed state. Generate knowledge points, exercises, or review materials from the relevant entries when needed, and check the results. See Learning content and export.

4. Ask about the course

Open “AI 对话” (AI chat), create a conversation, and select this course as its resource scope. Try:

Using this course's resources, explain the difference between working memory and long term memory, with evidence from the original text.

Follow sources in the answer to verify them. An answer alone does not establish a claim that the materials do not support.

What you will have

A course, a learning record with source text and a confirmed summary, and a conversation you can continue. Content is saved in your chosen data folder.

Next, import files or record audio, or follow the course review tutorial to continue organizing and practicing.
